From Root to Fruit
Nnesona is personal.
The name blends my name with the names of my three daughters, weaving pieces of each of us into one shared identity.
At its heart is Nne — the Igbo word for mother — reflecting the love, stories, and traditions passed from one generation to the next.

The First Harvest
The Yam in Who I Am
Nnesona’s first children’s book follows Ezinne, a Nigerian American girl discovering that the very things that make her feel different can also be the things that make her proud.
Through family, food, and the celebration of the New Yam Festival, Ezinne learns there is room for every part of who she is.
Growing Forward
Nnesona is growing beyond the page — creating stories and experiences that help the next generation stay connected to culture, family, and who they are.
